Hayworth was a critical supporter of Powerhouse Arts (PHA) in bringing the inaugural Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair (BFAPF) to market, offering strategic communications, media relations, and marketing guidance for this critical new entrant to New York’s art fair landscape. The fair distinguished itself from traditional art fairs by foregrounding values of community, accessibility, and education within the realm of fine art printmaking. With over 70 participating exhibitors—including independent printshops, artists, academic institutions, and internationally recognized publishers—the fair established a dynamic and inclusive environment that resonated with a new generation of collectors and creators alike.
Hayworth oversaw external communications for the fair, shaping its identity and messaging through a multi-pronged campaign. The agency led the development and dissemination of a strategic series of press materials, including announcements highlighting the fair’s curatorial ethos, exhibitor list, robust programming, and post-event recaps. Press efforts were bolstered by the creation of internal materials such as a comprehensive Exhibitor Manual that supported participating organizations with consistent messaging, logistics, and onboarding.
The campaign earned visibility across top-tier art trade and regional publications, including Artnet News, The Art Newspaper, Hyperallergic, Observer, Brooklyn Eagle, Brooklyn Reader, Art & Object, and Whitehot Magazine. More than 30 individual articles were secured over the course of the campaign, many of which underscored the fair’s unique positioning as a grassroots, mission-driven platform for printmakers of all stripes.
Hayworth also consulted on media partnerships and paid amplification strategies that complemented the organic PR push. Paid media relationships ensured the fair reached highly engaged audiences across newsletters, banner ads, and print placements, while driving ticket sales and elevating PHA’s visibility within the broader cultural conversation.
With over 7,500 visitors and 600 VIP guests in attendance, the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair’s debut solidified Powerhouse Arts’ position as a key convener in the world of contemporary printmaking. Hayworth is proud to have shaped the public narrative surrounding this landmark event and is enthusiastic to continue supporting the stories of artists, publishers, and institutions redefining the art fair model.
